Unpacking Buzzard Coulee meteorites
Meteorite hunter McCartney Taylor lives about 10 minutes from my house in the same part of Austin, Texas - a GREAT thing if you are a meteorite collector! - here I am looking through his just opened shipment of Buzzard Coulee specimens

I helped McCartney to sort and classifiy the various specimens - he had collected some incredible oriented and flow-lined stones - I purchased a couple based on their amazing dark, black fresh crust - those are posted up above

Caldwell, Kansas
In 1961, Vernie Havorka found the Caldwell meteorite while plowing a field - Harvey Nininger otained a small piece for testing but he never obtained the stone - it is now a part of the Kansas Meteorite Collection
